Job description
Prime Conveyor Inc. is an industry leading manufacturer of conveyor systems and equipment located in Merrillville, IN. We are seeking a sheet metal shear operator looking to start or further their experience in a manufacturing environment.
Qualified candidates must be highly organized, able to work independently and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have:
- steel toe boots
- ability to lift 40 lbs
- ability to read a tape measure
Essential Job Functions:
- Operating production machinery, hand tools etc.
- Follow written and verbal work instructions
- Complete paperwork including weekly timesheets and material order sheets.
- Work from prints to manufacture parts.
Experience:
- Experience working manufacturing environment is preferred, however we will train motivated candidates.
Requirements:
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings in the English Language.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- Have a GSD (get stuff done) attitude
Shift Hours:
6:00am - 3:30pm Monday- Friday based on workload.
*Flexibility is essential. Availability to work overtime and/or move between shifts for training and/or coverage purposes to support production as needed.
Compensation: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
